Blank Canvas Salon is an independently owned hair salon in Londonderry NH, serving clients throughout Southern New Hampshire and the surrounding communities.
Since opening in 2017, Blank Canvas has grown into a team of experienced hairstylists with a wide range of specialties. Our salon is known for customized hair color, blonding, lived-in color, dimensional brunettes, coppers and reds, vivid color, color corrections, hair extensions, haircuts and other personalized hair services.
We believe great hair starts with finding the right stylist for you! Instead of expecting every stylist to specialize in everything, our team brings different areas of expertise, experience and style to the salon. This allows clients to choose a hairstylist whose work aligns with their hair goals.
Our Approach to Hair
There isn't one formula, technique or approach that works for every person who sits in our chairs.
Our stylists consider your starting point, hair history, condition, lifestyle, maintenance preferences and long-term goals when creating a plan for your hair. Whether you're looking for a major color transformation or something designed to grow out softly between appointments, the goal is to create hair that works for you beyond the day you leave the salon.
Education has always been a major part of Blank Canvas. Our team includes experienced stylists and educators who continue to invest in advanced education, evolving techniques, hair color formulation, and the health and integrity of the hair.

Meet The Owner
I'm Stephanie Lawrence, the owner and founder of Blank Canvas Salon. Ive been a hairstylist for over 20 years and have spent much of my career educating other professionals in advanced hair color. When I opened Blank Canvas in 2017, I wasn't chasing the title of salon owner. I wanted to create the kind of place I believed stylists deserved to work in and clients deserved to experience. Over time, that purpose has grown into something much bigger than me. Blank Canvas has become a strong foundation where talented professionals can build careers, clients can feel genuinely cared for, and our community can feel supported. Blank Canvas is locally owned, deeply personal to me, and built around respect, education, integrity, inclusion and community.
Hybrid Salon
When creating Blank Canvas, we realized there wasn’t a salon around that successfully housed both independent and employed stylists. We saw such a benefit in having the two brought together, so that’s what we did!
What does that mean for our guests?
It means that booking, communication and payment will all be done directly with your stylist. Independent Stylists are their own business, and Blank Canvas is the space they rent! They make their own hours, prices, and you communicate directly with them.
Our Employed Stylists are just that; employed by the salon! We set hours, prices, and when you call our wonderful front end team will help you book!

Education Based Culture
At Blank Canvas Salon, we believe that many brains are better than one, and that’s why we promote stylist collaboration every chance we get. It's one of the things that makes the quality of work at Blank Canvas some of the best in the country. Often times during a consultation, your stylist will bring over another stylist to talk about the different possibilities. This ensures that you will end up with the best possible result and also encourages teamwork and communication throughout the salon.
We also have an assistant program where our new hires help different stylists throughout their day with various processes so they can be knowledgeable and successful when they start to take clients. You will often see them stand with your stylist and watch or even be asked to help with certain tasks during your service.
